GORDON DICKLER - An Unsung Hero

Gordon Dickler is Turnbridge’s Unsung Hero for the month of July, 2012. Gordon is currently Assistant to the Executive Director, John Palmer, and he has been working in that capacity for almost a year. Prior to moving into this role, Gordon served as a member of Phase II’s support staff and was later promoted to Phase II Support Staff Supervisor.

In his current position, he is often approached with a variety of tasks and requests that sometimes arise from several different departments. He participates in many of the directors’ meetings, assisting in program coordination and administration when needed. Gordon is also the administrator for the program’s EMR system, and he trains other staff in an IT capacity.

“I do whatever needs to be done,” Gordon said. “The most difficult part of my current role is managing a ton of tasks simultaneously, and being efficient at it and prioritizing appropriately. The most rewarding part is that I get the opportunity to make a living working, first of all, in a field that has personal meaning to me, but more so in the program that has personal meaning to me and my life.”
